Access and nature conservation

NatureScot and partners have developed Advice on Monitoring Access and Recreation at Sensitive Natural Heritage Sites, which is designed to help site managers plan and carry out monitoring of recreational activities at nature reserves and similar sites.

The National Access Forum has developed guidance on managing public access in areas of wildlife sensitivity in Scotland. The principles outlined in this guidance apply to a wide range of nature conservation situations.
