Guidance For Local Authorities and National Park Authorities is now available on Part 1 Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003.


The Scottish Executive has taken this forward under section 27 of the Act (which empowers Ministers to give guidance to local authorities). Draft guidance has been consulted on and was laid before parliament in December 2004. The final Guidance was issued by the Scottish Ministers on 4th Feb 2005 under s27 of the Act. A version is also to be available in the publications section of their website.

The issued version is also available here at the right hand side of this page. The guidance gives advice on Outdoor access strategies, Core Paths and Local Access Forums.
