What Happens Next? - Using the TV Adverts
Suggested Method:
The TV ads have been provided in 3 formats – choose your preferred format:
- the complete advert
- the advert with 7 pauses built in to allow you to discuss the
issues as you wish - the advert with 7 pauses built in and multiple choice questions
on the screen. - whether they have any additional or different responsibilities if they have a dog with them, are on a bike, are on a horse etc
Complete advert:
Play the adverts, asking the children to note down or discuss
potential conflict situations and how they were avoided.
Advert with pauses:
Play each clip, pausing at the built in pauses. Discuss the rights and
responsibilities of the characters then ask the question ‘What
happens next? Discuss any issues.
Play each clip, stopping at the questions to give the group as much time as is needed to choose an answer. (The questions on the screen are identical to those overleaf). Ask for a show of hands for answer a, b, c or d. Resume playing the clip to find out what happened next. Discuss any issues.
