1. Make a Crack the Code Dial

Suggested Method:
Show the ready made Crack the Code dial as an example. Give the children a copy of the two different sides of the dial (A and B) and two covers to cut out and colour in.
To assemble the dial put the completed circles back to back and glue them together. Place the smaller circles (covers) on the top of each side and fasten together with a butterfly pin through the centre so the cover on each side revolves freely.
The dials are read by lining up the pointer with the desired illustration and reading the information revealed in the ‘key hole’. Get the children to test each other on their rights and responsibilities by using their dials. They can then take them home to test their family and friends and to remind them of their rights and responsibilities in the outdoors.
