Horse riding and the Code leaflets
Explains the basic principles for horse riders and drivers.
Riding, driving or leading your horse on towpaths brings challenges but properly managed they can provide safe areas for all.
Although there is no legislation that requires riders or carriage drivers to pick up their dung, in many circumstances having a "dung strategy" is a sensible move that could help preserve your rights of access to certain areas.
To order a hard copy of any of the horse related leaflets, contact: Helene Mauchlen, Scottish Development Officer for The British Horse Society, Woodburn, Crieff, Perthshire PH7 3RG. 01764 656334 or H.Mauchlen@bhs.org.uk.
